School Day

At Avon Valley School, we've designed our school day to maximise learning opportunities while providing a balanced and engaging experience for all our students. We believe in creating a structured environment that fosters both academic achievement and personal growth.

Avon Valley School's statutory day runs from 8.40am - 3.10pm which is a total of 32.5 hours per week.

Punctuality: Students are expected to be in school each day by 8.40am so that their tutor can take the register promptly at 8.45am. Good attendance and punctuality to school is vital if you are to succeed and reach your full potential.

Assemblies:
Regular assemblies are held to promote school values, celebrate achievements, and provide important information.
Assembly schedules vary by year group.

Tutor Time:
Tutor time is incorporated into the daily schedule to provide students with individual support and guidance.  Tutors play a key role in monitoring student progress and well-being.

Extracurricular Activities:
A wide range of after-school clubs and activities are available, including sports, arts, and academic clubs.
